Home / Gilled mushrooms on wood / TM0111
Unidentified agaric Uncertain
Angles captured. 6 frames of one subject.
Dozens of small bright orange mushrooms erupting from the vertical face of a lichen-crusted standing log, each cap 1–2 cm, convex to plane, on short orange stipes, in loose vertical drifts following the wood's fissures.
A standing dead trunk crusted with grey-green lichen, fruiting over roughly a square metre.
Probably the same species as TM0070 on the horizontal log earlier.
An underside, and whether the flesh is tough and revives when wetted.
The most spectacular fruiting of the day and visually the best thing in the volume.
