Troop of small pale agarics on a log
Unidentified agaric Uncertain
Angles captured. Wide frames placing the troop along the log, close views of the cluster, and one frame holding the smallest fruitbody of the group between finger and thumb for scale.
Morphology
A dozen or more fruitbodies of very mixed size, from 3–4 mm buttons to caps of 2–3 cm. Cap pale cream to greyish-buff, convex becoming plane, smooth and dry. Stipe cream, slender, distinctly curved, arising directly from wood. Gills pale, not clearly resolved.
Habitat & substrate
A well-rotted mossy log on the forest floor, with fruitbodies emerging along its length and from the litter immediately beside it. Saprotrophic on wood.

To confirm this identification
An underside, and a spore print. The wide size range here means the same colony offers both buttons and mature caps — ideal for a print.
Notes
The in-hand frame (#4114) is a good habit: it gives the whole troop a reliable scale.
