Unidentified agaric Uncertain
Angles captured. Seven field frames including several close on the cluster, plus five of the spore print.
Caps 2–4 cm, tan to honey-brown, convex, in a dense cluster from a common base. Stipes pale and fused below. Spore print pale rust to buff.
At the base of a stump, arising from wood.
Dense clustering from a common base on wood is a useful habit character. The pale rust print excludes the white-spored wood-rotting genera.
Whether a ring is present on the stipe, and the gill attachment.
