Morphology
A bright sulphur-yellow crust spreading in irregular lobes across the upper surface of a decaying log, with a pale cream patch adjoining it. Surface uneven and slightly granular.
Habitat & substrate
A large mossy fallen log in shade.
Lookalikes & what rules them out
A brightly coloured resupinate crust. Whether the yellow and the cream patches are one organism or two is not resolvable from the frames, and crust fungi are largely a microscopy group.
To confirm this identification
Whether the two colours are continuous, and a section through the crust.

Recorded because the colour is striking and the substrate is well documented, not because it can be named.
