Morphology

Cap 5–7 cm, mid-brown, dry, convex. Stipe brown and slender relative to the cap. The underside is not clearly shown in either frame.

Habitat & substrate

Leaf litter within a metre of the previous entry, same bank.

Lookalikes & what rules them out

Too little is visible to say more than that it is a bolete. It is recorded chiefly because of where it was.

Notes

A different mushroom from the previous entry, found immediately beside it. Two unlike boletes sharing a square metre is worth recording — it says something about the ground that neither entry says alone.
