Unidentified agaric Uncertain
Angles captured. Six field frames including two held up to show the gills, plus three of the spore print.
Cap 2–3 cm, tan to orange-brown, smooth, convex. Gills distinctly brown and moderately spaced, clearly shown against the hand. Stipe slender. Spore print rust-brown, small.
Sandy trail edge under pine.
Brown gills with a rust-brown print excludes the white-spored genera entirely, which is the useful part. A small tan cap with rusty spores points to the brown-spored litter agarics.
Stipe base and whether any veil remnants are present.
Spore print taken (card 5). #4873, the frame of the pine, is kept separately as substrate reference.
