Tall grey-brown agaric
Pluteus or Volvariella Genus
Angles captured. Five frames — one from the earlier pass up the slope, then four on the return including one looking straight up at the gills.
Morphology
Cap 6–8 cm, greyish-tan to buff with a slightly darker centre, plane with a low umbo. Gills cream-white, narrow, crowded, and clearly free — they stop short of the stipe leaving a clean collar, resolved unambiguously at full resolution. Stipe long, slender, smooth, white, 10–12 cm.
Habitat & substrate
Leaf litter on a rocky, boulder-strewn wooded slope.
Lookalikes & what rules them out
Free crowded gills on a tall smooth stipe — the same pair as TM0050 at Leominster, which the same re-examination has now taken to Pluteus. The gills here are still white rather than flushed pink, so this one is younger.
To confirm this identification
A spore print (both print pink) and a look at the stipe base — a sac-like volva means Volvariella.

The first frame was taken 43 minutes before the rest — the trail loops back past this spot. Originally split across three entries.
