Morphology

Cap 8–10 cm, pale cream with fine darker scales, broad and flat. Gills pale and crowded, stipe long and slender relative to the cap.

Habitat & substrate

Sandy bank under pine.

Lookalikes & what rules them out

A large flat scaly cap on a slender stipe with crowded pale gills. Not resolvable further from these frames.
